About the role
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer Lead to drive our platform reliability, CI/CD maturity, and cloud infrastructure strategy. You will own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, from architecture to production, across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP). You will be instrumental in shaping our DevOps culture, mentoring engineers, and implementing advanced automation to ensure scalability, security, and cost-efficiency regardless of the underlying cloud provider
Key Responsibilities

Strategic CI/CD & Release Management: Design, implement, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines across development, staging, and production environments. Manage complex deployments, release processes, and robust rollback strategies using tools like** GitLab, Bamboo, and Azure DevOps**, alongside existing Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Bitbucket pipelines

Security Integration: Integrate and manage** SAST (Static Application Security Testing)and SCA (Software Composition Analysis)** tools directly into the pipeline to automate security gates, vulnerability scanning, and compliance reporting.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation: Architect and manage scalable infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and Helm to maintain consistency across heterogeneous cloud environments.

Observability & Operational Health: Establish comprehensive monitoring and observability frameworks using Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana to ensure high availability and proactive incident management across all platforms.

Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and performance feedback to DevOps team members. Mentor engineers and foster a culture of ownership and accountability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with backend, QA, and product teams to define infrastructure requirements, lead toolchain decisions, and set platform-independent standards.
Skill Requirements

Experience: 8+ years in DevOps/Cloud Infrastructure roles, with a minimum of 3+ years in a technical leadership or managerial capacity.

*Dev Sec Ops Mastery: * SAST: Hands-on experience configuring Sonar Qube (or similar tools) to enforce code quality and security standards. Ability to analyze reports and guide development teams in remediation.

Vulnerability Management: Experience implementing dependency scanners and other security tools to identify and mitigate risks in the software supply chain.

Multi-Cloud Proficiency: Solid, hands-on experience with core services across major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP). This includes Compute (VMs/Serverless), Storage, Networking (VPC/Load Balancing), and Identity & Access Management (IAM).

Automation & CI/CD: Expert-level proficiency in CI/CD pipeline design, infrastructure automation (Terraform/Ansible/Helm), and container orchestration (Kubernetes).

Database Operations: Proven experience in managing RDBMS, database versioning, and automated deployment processes.

Engineering Principles: Deep understanding of cloud security, high availability, cost optimization, and incident response/postmortem processes.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholder needs.

Security & Compliance: Experience with container security, policy enforcement, and compliance frameworks.

Fin Ops: Familiarity with cross-cloud cost optimization strategies and Fin Ops practices.

AI Integration: Exposure to applying Generative AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate DevOps workflows and scripting.
