Senior Technical Specialist

Job Summary

Looking for an experienced Azure Data Senior Technical Specialist to design, build, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms on Microsoft Azure. The candidate will lead enterprise data architecture initiatives, define strategy, and ensure alignment with business goals and analytics needs.

Data Architecture & Strategy:

Design scalable data platforms (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, Real-time pipelines)
Data Platform Design (Azure Stack) using: Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks / Spark, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)
Microsoft Fabric / Power BI
Build and govern end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines
Ensure pipeline performance, scalability, and reliability
Design data models (Star/Snowflake, Lakehouse, Medallion architecture)
Implement data governance, security, and compliance frameworks

Required Skills:

Azure & Data Platforms:

Azure Databricks, Spark (Py Spark/Scala)
Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Azure Synapse / Fabric
ADLS Gen2

Data Engineering & Modeling:

Strong SQL, data warehousing concepts
ETL/ELT, pipeline design
Data modeling (Dimensional / Lakehouse)

Additional Skills:

CI/CD, DevOps (Azure DevOps)
Power BI / BI tools (good to have)
Knowledge of real-time processing / streaming

Key Responsibilities

1. To architect| design and develop (through Team) solution for product/project & sustenance delivery

To support as an Subject Matter Expert:

1. To ensure knowledge up-gradation and work with new technologies so that the solution is current and meets quality standards and the client requirements

2. Ensuring a sufficient pool of skilled professionals in the designated technology, through activities such as conducting interviews, providing training sessions and offering mentorship.

3. To gather specifications and deliver solutions to the client organization based on understanding of a domain or technology.

4. To support competency development with envisioning and articulating propositions – building collaterals/ whitepaper creation, market trend analysis etc.

5. To recommend client value creation initiatives and implement industry best practices (on specific technology/product)
