About the role

Job Summary

Linux L3 The Linux System Administrator (L3) is a senior technical role responsible for advanced Linux system administration, technical leadership, and escalation support across on‑premises and cloud environments. The role serves as the Linux subject matter expert (SME), ensuring the stability, performance, security, and continuous improvement of enterprise Linux platforms.\r\n This position owns the resolution of complex production issues, leading deep‑dive troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA), while designing and optimizing system configurations, patching strategies, kernel upgrades, and security hardening initiatives. The L3 administrator plays a key role in managing high‑availability (HA) environments, advanced storage configurations, and disaster recovery solutions.\r\n In addition to hands‑on technical responsibilities, the role provides technical guidance and mentoring to L2 administrators, contributes to platform architecture decisions, and collaborates closely with security, network, storage, and cloud teams. The Linux System Administrator (L3) also supports audit, compliance, and capacity planning activities, ensuring Linux environments align with enterprise standards, ITIL processes, and long‑term operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

SMTP & Mail Security , • Act as L3 escalation point for complex Linux incidents and production issues.\r\n• Perform deep-dive troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and preventive actions.\r\n• Design, review, and optimize Linux system configurations and performance.\r\n• Lead patching strategies, kernel upgrades, and security hardening initiatives.\r\n• Own and support High Availability clusters and complex storage configurations.\r\n• Define and improve Linux operational standards, SOPs, and automation approaches.\r\n• Support platform architecture decisions for on‑prem and cloud Linux environments.\r\n• Mentor and technically guide L2 administrators.\r\n• Collaborate with security, network, storage, and cloud teams on integrated solutions.\r\n• Provide technical input for audits, compliance, and capacity planning activities.\r\n

Skill Requirements

Expert-level Linux administration experience (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or equivalent).\r\n• Strong expertise in kernel tuning, performance optimization, and system hardening.\r\n• Hands-on experience with HA clusters, DR solutions, and advanced storage setups.\r\n• Experience with cloud Linux environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).\r\n• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise operations.\r\n• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and mentoring skills.\r\n Qualification –\r\nB-Tech or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field\r\n
