Technical Lead - BIOS Automation, BIOS Validation

Job Summary

This role provides technical leadership in BIOS automation and validation projects, overseeing the implementation of automation frameworks and ensuring the quality of BIOS solutions delivered to clients. The individual drives the adoption of best practices, offers technical guidance to team members, and ensures process adherence to meet project goals with optimal efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Guide the design and development of automated BIOS testing frameworks using Python, UEFI tools, and industry-standard scripting solutions, ensuring robust and scalable automation processes.

2. Advocate and implement best practices in BIOS automation, including coding standards, test case creation, and documentation within the team.

3. Facilitate BIOS validation by applying tools such as Test Stand and custom automation scripts for functional, regression, and compliance testing.

4. Oversee process compliance for BIOS automation modules, ensuring alignment with project requirements and organizational standards.

5. Participate in technical discussions and feasibility studies to evaluate automation solutions, tooling options, and architecture best practices relevant to BIOS projects.

6. Prepare and submit project status reports to manage risks and communicate progress, addressing technical escalations as needed.

Skill Requirements

1. Solid proficiency in BIOS automation, including scripting languages such as Python and shell scripting.

2. Solid understanding of BIOS validation processes and tools, including UEFI, Test Stand, and related automation frameworks.

3. Solid knowledge of coding standards, test case design, and documentation in automation projects.

4. Solid problem-solving abilities in technical feasibility and risk assessment within BIOS projects.

5. Solid communication skills for technical guidance and status reporting.

Other Requirements

1. Optional but valuable: Certifications such as CompTIA IT Fundamentals, Python Programming Certification, or UEFI/BIOS Firmware Development credentials.
