Senior Design Lead - Sheet Metal, DFMA, Creo

Job Summary

The Touchpad team is looking for a Touchpad Design Engineer who will be
responsible for supporting Asia based activities on programs and development of
consumer products.

Key Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience in the design, development and
verification of touchpad in the application of Laptop trackpad or external keyboard
accessory that has a trackpad:

• 5+ years’ experience in the haptic touchpad and mechanical touchpad
  industry
• Experience shipping high volume touchpad products
• Strong troubleshooting, manufacturing testing and data analysis skills
• Strong knowledge of system architecture of haptic touchpad, haptic feedback,
  touch and force sensor, experienced in ME or EE system design of haptic
  touchpad
• Familiarity with basic FW/SW knowledge about Windows Precision Touchpad
  implementation and the PTP certification is a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Good English-speaking skills

Description:

aspects of Touchpad HW design:

• Touch, force sensor, actuator and module design and process reviews with
  close interaction with contract manufacturers and component suppliers.
• Perform touch, force sensing, actuator verification of engineering prototypes
  during each development build.
• Support development builds at contract manufacturers, identify, debug and
  resolve design, assembly and supplier quality issues.
• Willingness to travel

Other Requirements

1.Any relevant certifications in Sheet Metal Design, Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA), or Creo/ProE are a plus.
