Product Specialist

Job Summary

The SAC Planning & Reporting Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting** end-to-end planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical solutions** using** SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)**. This role works closely with business and finance stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable SAC models, dashboards, and stories, delivering accurate, timely, and actionable insights to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

SAC Planning

• Design and implement SAC Planning models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning

• Develop and enhance planning-enabled stories and input forms

• Configure Data Actions, Multi-Actions, Allocations, and Advanced Formulas

• Implement version management, what-if simulations, and scenario planning

• Support predictive planning and driver-based models

• Optimize model design and performance for large and complex datasets

SAC Reporting & Analytics

• Develop interactive SAC stories, dashboards, and Analytical Applications

• Design KPI frameworks, charts, tables, filters, and prompts aligned to business needs

• Ensure consistency between financial and operational reporting

• Enable self-service analytics for business users with governance controls

• Support executive and management reporting requirements

Data Integration & Modeling

• Integrate data from SAP S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, SAP BW, SAP Datasphere, and non-SAP sources

• Design and manage dimensions, measures, hierarchies, currencies, and time models

• Implement Live and Import connections based on use case

• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and accuracy checks

• Support data refresh, performance tuning, and troubleshooting

Skill Requirements

Technical & Functional Skills Core Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (Planning & Reporting)

• Expertise in:

• SAC Planning Models

• Data Actions & Advanced Formulas

• Stories & Analytical Applications

• Live & Import Data Connections Functional Knowledge

• Solid understanding of financial planning processes – Budgeting, Forecasting, Actuals

• Experience working with finance and business stakeholders Technical Knowledge

• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA, BW, BW/4HANA, or SAP Datasphere

• Basic understanding of SQL and data modeling concepts

Experience with SAC Excel Add-in
