Mendix Senior Technical Lead

Job Summary

The Senior Technical Lead (Mendix) at HCL is responsible for leading the technical team in the development and implementation of Mendix solutions. This role involves overseeing the technical aspects of projects, ensuring quality delivery, and providing technical guidance and expertise to team members.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the design, development, and deployment of mendix applications.

2. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team.

3. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose technical solutions.

4. Perform code reviews, ensure coding standards are met, and troubleshoot technical issues.

5. Stay updated on mendix platform updates and best practices to enhance project delivery.

6. Mentor team members on mendix development and encourage continuous learning.

7. Work closely with project managers to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.

8. Participate in client meetings to discuss technical aspects and provide updates on project progress.

Technical Skills:

• Languages: Core Java, Python 3 (basic), HTML, ReactJS (basics), Agentic AI (basics)
• Frameworks: Mendix , KNIME Analytics
• Version Control Systems: Mendix Cloud
• Database: PostgreSQL, MongoDB
• IDE: Eclipse, MS VS code, Jupyter Notebook, Mendix v9 and above, Basics of Teamcenter
• Agile Methodology: Scrum
• Python flask developer and in AI/ML
• Development of Web based Client-Server applications.
• Codes merging and deployment activities.
• Leading code review process to ensure quality of delivery.

Mandatory Skills:

5–8years of hands-on experience with the Mendix low-code platform (development + customization).
Strong experience in integrating Mendix applications with Teamcenter (PLM) systems.

• Ability to build custom connectors, scripts, and workflows to support Teamcenter-related processes (as indicated internally: customization + scripting).Good understanding of PLM concepts — product structures, BOM management, workflows, and change management.

Good-to-Have Skills:

Experience with Teamcenter Rich Client / Active Workspace customization.
Familiarity with Teamcenter data model, ITK, SOA, or REST services.
Exposure to manufacturing or semiconductor domain (since this is for AMAT).
Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, or SQL to extend Mendix functions.

Role Responsibilities:

Develop and customize Mendix applications that interface with Teamcenter.
Build and maintain integrations, scripts, and automation flows.
Troubleshoot PLM–Mendix integration issues.
Work with onsite/offshore teams and understand customer requirements clearly.
Provide tool-level configuration and enhancement support.

Soft Skills:

Strong communication skills for customer-facing discussions.
Ability to understand business processes and convert them into technical solutions.
Willingness to upskill in PLM and Mendix as required.
