Job Summary

Senior SAP BODS Lead/Architect (15+ years) responsible for designing and delivering enterprise-grade ETL/data migration solutions across SAP landscapes (S/4HANA, ECC, BW).
Role includes hands-on BODS development, performance optimization, large-scale data migration, and integration with SAP/non-SAP systems while ensuring data quality and governance.
Also involves leading teams, engaging stakeholders, and driving end-to-end delivery of complex data transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP BODS (Business Objects Data Services) Lead/Architect with over 15 years of experience in data integration, data migration, and ETL solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, architecting, and delivering enterprise-grade data solutions, primarily in SAP landscapes, while leading teams and engaging with business stakeholders.Key Responsibilities Architecture & Design Lead the design and architecture of SAP BODS-based ETL and data integration solutions Define data migration strategies for SAP implementations (S/4HANA, ECC, BW, etc.)Develop scalable, high-performance data pipelines Establish data quality, governance, and standards frameworks Development & Delivery Hands-on development of BODS jobs, workflows, and dataflows Optimize ETL processes for performance tuning and efficiency Manage complex data transformation, cleansing, and validation logic Handle data extraction from SAP and non-SAP systems Leadership & Stakeholder Management Lead and mentor a team of ETL developers and data engineers Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements Drive end-to-end delivery of data integration projects Provide technical leadership and contribute to decision-making Data Migration & Integration Execute large-scale SAP data migration projects, including:Data extraction, transformation, and loading Data reconciliation and validation Integrate SAP systems with cloud platforms and third-party systems Support M&A data consolidation and harmonization projects Governance & Best Practices Implement data governance, data quality, and metadata management policies Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards Create and maintain technical documentation and standards Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills Strong expertise in SAP BODS (SAP Data Services)Experience with SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BW, and HANAProficiency in ETL concepts, data warehousing, and data modeling Hands-on experience in:SQL (advanced level)Data profiling and cleansing Performance tuning of ETL jobs Experience working with large datasets (millions+ records)SAP Integration Knowledge Deep understanding of SAP data structures (IDoc, BAPI, Tables, CDS views)Experience with LSMW, Migration Cockpit, or other migration tools is a plus Familiarity with SLT, SDI, or CPI is advantageous Cloud & Modern Data Stack (Preferred)Exposure to SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)Knowledge of modern data engineering tools is a plus Leadership & Soft Skills Proven experience leading large teams (8–20 members)Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work in cross-functional and global teams Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fieldSAP certifications in BODS / Data Services / S/4HANA are preferred Preferred Experience Experience in end-to-end
