Role Overview
HCLTech is seeking a highly skilled 3D Animator & Rigger with strong experience in game development and real-time engines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality character animations and robust rigging systems for immersive gaming and XR experiences.
Key Responsibilities

Design and develop character rigs (biped, quadruped, stylized & realistic)

Create high-quality keyframe animations for games (combat, locomotion, interactions)

Work closely with game designers, developers, and artists Optimize rigs and animations for real-time performance (Unity/Unreal)

Implement animations into game engines and ensure smooth transitions (blend trees, state machines)

Troubleshoot rigging and animation issues across pipelines
-
Maintain consistency in animation style and quality
Skill Requirements
Required Skills
Strong expertise in rigging and skinning, Animation
Deep understanding of:

IK/FK systems
-
Constraints, deformers
-
Facial rigging (blend shapes preferred)
-
Experience with: Game animation pipelines
-
Motion capture cleanup (a plus)

Knowledge of scripting (Python/MEL) is an advantage
