Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer in Hyderabad, India, to join our claims team. In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver secure, scalable cloud-based solutions for Guidewire Claim Center using GWCP and AWS, lead migration projects, build integrations using AWS and messaging technologies, manage Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and CloudFormation, enhance CI/CD automation, implement security and monitoring, and mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deliver high‑quality solutions for Guidewire Claim Center on Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP)

  • Lead and support cloud migration initiatives for Core Claims applications

  • Build cloud‑native solutions using AWS services such as EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, Event Bridge, S3, RDS, and API Gateway

  • Design and implement messaging and integration solutions, including JMS Bridge, IBM MQ, JMS, and AWS messaging services

  • Support hybrid integrations between on‑premises systems and AWS during migration

  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation

  • Build, support, and enhance CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and operational readiness

  • Implement security, resiliency, monitoring, and observability using AWS best practices (IAM, encryption, CloudWatch)

  • Troubleshoot and resolve application and performance issues

  • Participate in Agile development processes to deliver high‑quality, reliable solutions

  • Mentor team members and enforce development standards and best practices

  • Document solutions, designs, and operational processes

  • Continuously explore emerging technologies, including Generative AI development tools, to improve solutions and processes

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of experience in application software development

  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience with AWS cloud services and Guidewire Insurance Suite (Claim Center preferred)

  • Strong experience working with Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP)

  • Working knowledge of GWCP features such as Autopilot,Integration Gateway, and App Events

  • Proficiency in Gosu, Java/Python and SQL

  • Experience developing and consuming SOAP and REST web services

  • Hands‑on experience with AWS infrastructure and cloud architecture

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation

  • Experience with messaging and integration technologies (JMS Bridge, IBM MQ, JMS, AWS messaging services)

  • Strong background in DevOps and CI/CD practices, using tools such as GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Team City, Rally, Sonar Qube, etc.

  • Experience implementing security, resiliency, and monitoring best practices in AWS

  • Exposure to Generative AI development tools

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working in cross‑functional Agile teams

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Guidewire cloud certification

  • AWS Solutions architect Associate or professional certifications

  • Familiarity with Data Dog and Splunk

  • Experience with self-managed Guidewire Insurance Suite products

  • Experience with Spring Batch

  • Familiarity with google Cloud Platform or Gen AI services will be a great add on but not mandatory.
