Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Senior Software Engineer to join development team in Hyderabad, India. The Senior Software Engineer will play a pivotal role in leading the design, development, and implementation of cloud-based solutions. This position requires deep expertise in AWS services, messaging and integration technologies, and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, secure, and resilient systems while supporting hybrid integrations and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build AWS cloud components supporting Cloud migration for Core Claims Application.

  • Implement messaging and integration solutions, including JMS Bridge, IBM MQ, JMS, and AWS messaging services.

  • Build cloud native solutions using AWS services such as EC2, ECS, SQS, SNS, Event Bridge, S3, RDS. Lambda, and API Gateway.

  • Support hybrid integrations between on prem systems and AWS during migration.

  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation.

  • Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and operational readiness.

  • Implement security, resiliency, and monitoring using AWS best practices (IAM, encryption, CloudWatch).

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 or more years of experience in application software solution development

  • 5 or more years of experience working with AWS

  • Proficiency in Java/Python and SQL

  • Demonstrated expertise in AWS services, including EC2, ECS, SQS, SNS, Event Bridge, S3, RDS, Lambda, and API Gateway

  • Hands-on experience developing and managing Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation

  • Experience with messaging and integration technologies, such as JMS Bridge, IBM MQ, JMS, and AWS messaging services

  • Experience with continuous integration and DevOps methodologies. Preferred tools include GitHub, Jenkins, Rally, Sonar Qube, etc.

  • Experience developing web services (SOAP and REST)

  • Understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure

  • Experience with Generative AI development tools

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with implementing security, resiliency, and monitoring using AWS best practices (IAM, encryption, CloudWatch)

  • Strong background in supporting hybrid integrations between on-premises systems and AWS during migration projects

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Nice to Have Skills

  • AWS Solutions architect Associate or professional certifications

  • Familiarity with google Cloud Platform or Gen AI services will be a great add on but not mandatory.

  • Experience with self-managed/Cloud Guidewire Insurance Suite products

  • Experience with Spring Batch
