Physics Expert
Overview:
Handshake is seeking Physics Ph Ds to support AI research through flexible, hourly contract work. This is not a traditional academic or full-time role. You’ll use your advanced physics training to evaluate AI-generated content and provide feedback that helps AI better understand physical reasoning, mathematical modeling, theoretical analysis, and technical problem-solving.
This is an ongoing, project-based opportunity that can be done alongside research, teaching, postdoctoral work, or industry employment.
About Handshake AI:

-
Doctoral students and graduates (including those currently enrolled in a PhD program or in postdoctoral positions) in Physics or closely related fields.
-
Strong background in advanced physical reasoning, mathematical modeling, theoretical analysis, and quantitative problem-solving across core areas such as classical mechanics, electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, statistical mechanics, or related subdisciplines.
