Job Duties

Under broad direction, the Senior Cementing Engineer works closely with the Business Development team to align Halliburton’s technical, commercial, and operational capabilities with customer needs. This role requires a strong understanding of the customer’s business and technical challenges to design, sell, and deliver tailored cementing solutions that maximize profitability and market share. The position is responsible for providing advanced technical support to customers, including the design of complex isolation jobs, performance reviews, process improvements, and post‑job analysis. The Senior Cementing Engineer prepares technical and commercial proposals (tenders), develops Performance Optimization Plans (POP), and actively promotes the adoption of new technologies and processes both with customers and internal cementing teams.The role collaborates with customer drilling and/or production engineers to design barrier solutions that meet technical requirements and Halliburton’s commercial expectations, while considering competitor offerings and the total cost to Halliburton for delivering the service. In addition, the position leads technical investigations of irregular jobs, manages Correction, Prevention, and Improvement (CPI) actions, drives continuous improvement in materials, equipment, and personnel utilization, and contributes to technical talent development through mentoring, training, and performance assessment. At this level, the engineer is expected to work independently, apply advanced engineering techniques, and contribute to the development of new technologies, designs, or patents that enhance customer service offerings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a STEM discipline.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cementing Field Engineer.

• Experience in customer interaction and technical‑commercial support.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision and make high‑impact technical decisions.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Develop, train, and mentor technical cementing personnel.

• Avalability to live or relocate at Villahermosa, Tabasco.
