Sr. Technical Product Marketing Manager
About the role
About Groq
Inference is the engine that powers AI, and Groq was built from the silicon up to deliver the world's fastest inference at scale. We pioneered the LPU—the first processor designed specifically for AI inference—and are transforming that innovation into a global cloud platform powering production AI workloads.
With the capital, infrastructure, and team to execute, we're uniquely positioned to define the next era of AI infrastructure. The opportunity is massive, and it's still wide open. Now let's go build it!
Mission
Build and own the technical marketing foundation that helps customers, prospects, partners, and internal teams understand why Groq represents a differentiated approach to AI infrastructure. This role will create the competitive intelligence, technical narratives, field enablement assets, and demos that translate deep infrastructure expertise into compelling customer value and market leadership.
Location:
Remote, US
Responsibilities & opportunities in this role:
- Own the development of technical product marketing assets that support customer acquisition, sales execution, and market positioning, including battle cards, competitive analyses, pricing and performance comparisons, presentations, technical collateral, and field enablement materials.
- Establish and maintain deep expertise in the AI infrastructure ecosystem, including Neo Cloud providers, GPU cloud platforms, hyperscalers, and emerging AI infrastructure competitors.
- Build clear, evidence-based competitive positioning that highlights Groq's differentiated approach to AI infrastructure and inference. Create and maintain technical demonstrations that showcase real-world performance, efficiency, scalability, and customer outcomes.
- Partner closely with product, engineering, sales, solutions engineering, and executive leadership to translate technical innovations into customer-facing messaging and assets.
- Develop frameworks for competitive intelligence, market analysis, and launch readiness that can scale with the business.
- Analyze infrastructure economics, utilization models, pricing structures, benchmark results, and workload performance characteristics to support customer conversations and strategic decisionmaking.
- Equip customer-facing teams with the tools, content, and insights needed to effectively position Groq against alternative AI infrastructure providers. Serve as an internal subject matter expert on AI infrastructure trends, competitive dynamics, customer evaluation criteria, and market developments. Help build the technical marketing function from the ground up.
Ideal candidates have/are:
- 5-7+ years of experience in technical product marketing, product marketing, solutions marketing, competitive intelligence, cloud infrastructure, AI infrastructure, or related fields.
- Deep expertise in AI infrastructure, GPU platforms, cloud computing, inference workloads, infrastructure performance benchmarking, or related technical domains.
- Experience working at AI infrastructure companies, Neo Cloud providers, GPU service providers, cloud platforms, or organizations closely aligned with NVIDIA ecosystems
- Demonstrated ability to independently create high-quality technical marketing assets with minimal direction. Strong understanding of infrastructure performance metrics, benchmarking methodologies, workload optimization, pricing models, and infrastructure economics.
- Comfortable evaluating complex technical trade-offs and translating them into actionable market insights and competitive positioning.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, sales, and executive stakeholders. Highly self-directed and motivated by zero-to-one opportunities where processes, programs, and assets must be built from the ground up.
- Excited by the opportunity to help define a category and shape market perception during a period of significant company growth and momentum.
- Thrives as a hands-on individual contributor and enjoys owning outcomes directly rather than managing large teams.
