About the job

At Google, we put our users first. The world is always changing, so we need Product Managers who are continuously adapting and excited to work on products that affect millions of people every day.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

In this role, you will be responsible for the direction of our endpoint protection portfolio. You will manage a team of Product Managers (PMs) based in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, fostering a culture of technical excellence and user-centricity. You will also have Individual Contributor (IC) responsibilities in key areas.

This is a "player-coach" leadership role. You will drive the global roadmap for endpoint security, bridging the gap between customer insights and engineering. You will develop customer insights and translate them into an actionable roadmap.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Own the multi-year product strategy for enabling Endpoint Security Risk reduction goals, identifying internal and external shifts and other considerations, and translating them into a concrete, actionable roadmap.

  • Manage and coach a regional team of PMs, with responsibility including hiring, performance management, and career development, ensuring the team is motivated and aligned with Google’s security goals.

  • Serve as the "site lead" for PMs in APAC region, ensuring the region has a voice in global product decisions and fostering collaboration across time zones.

  • Drive the product lifecycle, from initial concept through to global launch and scaled adoption, partnering with Engineering, Technical Program Management (TPgM), and User Experience (UX) to deliver security services with minimal disruption to productivity.

  • Own the end-to-end adoption lifecycle of security policies, translating technical mandates into clear, empathetic communications and low-friction user experiences.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role.

  • 5 years of experience developing or launching products or technologies within security, privacy, or a related area.

  • 5 years of experience in people management, with technical leadership.

  • 5 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to leadership.

  • Experience in product management, including strategy development, product roadmapping, and stakeholder management.

Preferred qualifications

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.

  • 7 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.

  • 5 years of experience in software development or engineering.

  • Knowledge of, or continued interest in building accessibility best practices, and experience/curiosity for incorporating accessibility into product development methodologies.

  • Knowledge in security (especially Endpoint Security).

  • Ability to lead teams across multiple geographies and cultures, specifically bridging APAC regional needs with a US-based HQ.
