The mission of the Google Cloud Security team is to ensure the safety of our customers by transforming our infrastructure and services to make security as simple as possible. This team drives the creation and delivery of cloud security products and platform-level capabilities for Google as a whole.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Write product or system development code.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.

• 2 years of experience building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management).

• Experience in distributed systems, Google Distributed Cloud (GDC), and virtualization.

Preferred qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience in kernel development and architecting and developing distributed systems.
• Experience with low-level programming languages (e.g., C/C++) for high-performance system development.
