
Senior Hardware Test Engineer, Engineering Labs, Platforms
About the role

Lead end-to-end rack system integration testing by defining system configurations and drive the development of test automation to facilitate system performance, design reliability and failure reproduction.

Design network, power and cooling infrastructure for end-to-end system testing.

Drive development of test software and infrastructure required for managing fleet of test systems at scale to avoid manual configuration and test execution. Develop quality data collection systems and visualization of the data (i.e., measurements).

Provide integrated software to synchronize test execution on Device-under-Test (DUT) with external smart measurement instrumentation.

Be a core contributor within a team of hardware/software designers, test engineers, on project planning and execution coordination within hardware development labs, ensuring adequate resources and project milestones are met.
This is a specialized role which requires physical interaction with hardware equipment in a simulated data center environment, utilizing Google labs, power, and safety equipment. Regular development and processing of engineering hardware must be performed on site.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

4 years of experience working in a hardware test technical environment, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Experience with AC/DC power design and testing.
