About the job
As a member of Google’s Government Affairs and Public Policy team, you'll be part of a global government affairs team, working across regions, product areas, and functions. You’ll combine creativity and intellectual excellence with the organizational skills to manage various campaigns, projects and initiatives. In this role, you’ll advocate for Google to bring external perspectives back into the company to inform our perception and direction. You're passionate about the opportunity to shape the future of how we use and build technology for everyone.
YouTube’s Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) team leads the
company’s engagement with government officials, legislators, regulators and third-parties in the formation of public policy. While we focus on issues affecting the internet, our issue areas are increasingly broad and
encompass many areas where public policy, business, and technology
intersect.
As a Product and Business Policy Manager, you'll help shape YouTube's policy efforts relating to content policy, business policy, and emerging products. You will coordinate with YouTube’s Product, Business, Trust; Safety, Marketing, Communications, and Legal teams as well as Google’s global Government Affairs; Public Policy team to conduct analysis of legislative and regulatory proposals, identify trends and themes across the Americas, articulate YouTube’s positions on key policy challenges, and advise product and business teams through the public policy lens. Leveraging a sophisticated understanding of the media and music industries, you will provide critical context on how emerging technologies and consumption habits impact the broader entertainment ecosystem.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $182,000-$249,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Learn more about benefits at Google.
