The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is CAD 144,000-148,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and implementation of Google Voice backend infrastructure components.

• Support Google Voice production servers by engaging in client release, triage, maintenance, and reliability processes.

• Build new and enhanced features, including AI-driven capabilities, for Google Voice business and consumer users.

• Develop long-term infrastructure and frameworks to improve reliability, performance, operational efficiency, and developer velocity.

• Create seamless user experiences that integrate workspace products, including voice, meet, and calendar.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.

• 2 years of experience in server-side programming, Java, and databases.

Preferred qualifications

• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.

• Experience deploying and managing servers in production

• Experience delivering production-quality code to support backend infrastructure.

• Experience in software development for telephony, voice, and video communication platforms.
