With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.

As the Software Engineering Manager, you will drive the storage everywhere idea for Data Protection (e.g., Storage Replication, File, Block, Object) and Disaster Recovery in Google Distributed Cloud.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 8-12 engineers to design and land new features in Kubernetes and Object Storage space.
• Manage stakeholders and partner relationships.
• Influence technical direction and roadmap. Work on Object Storage for Google Distributed Cloud Hosted.
• Work with cloud infrastructure. Develop engineers on your team by providing opportunities for growth and development.
• Help shape team culture and create a great working environment.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 8 years of experience in software development.

• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

• 3 years of experience with developing infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with System Integration, Configuration Management, Control Management, Orchestration layer, etc.

• Experience with Storage Systems and Managing Storage Systems.

• Experience leading teams of direct reports.

• Experience with Cloud platforms.

• Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration frameworks.

• Experience in Go Lang.
