Regional Lead Data Center Electrical Engineer, Google Data Centers

Provide expert technical support and leadership to on-site DCS teams across North America, sharing lessons learned, best practices, and advocating continuous improvement.

Represent DCS in the development, implementation, and management of electrical designs at the site and regional portfolio level, starting from the Basis of Design (BoD) through to the issuance of construction documents for new builds, infrastructure upgrades, and renovations.

Act as escalation point for on site engineers when responding site-specific engineering Requests for Information (RFI), ensuring alignment between Google's requirements and the overall design.

Work closely with the core engineering team to provide site-specific requirements during the development of the Basis of Design (BOD) and coordinate system-level schematics.

Provide leadership to on-site DCS engineers, general contractors, and vendors to manage site-level power system issues during project execution.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

12 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments.
-
12 years of experience in electrical design, operations, and commissioning of substations, switchgear, ATP/ATS, emergency power systems, power monitoring, and electrical protection.
-
12 years of experience as a practicing engineer.
-
5 years of experience in leadership roles.

Experience in electrical infrastructure.
