Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a Program Manager, you’ll lead software engineering projects in one of our core programming languages and influence teams that design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software. You will plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate clearly with project stakeholders. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Manage programs, defining milestones and success criteria, resource allocation and successful on-time delivery.

• Develop tools and processes to improve software engineering productivity.

• Communicate schedules, priorities, and status to all levels in the company.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 2 years of experience in program or project management.

• Experience with software development.

Preferred qualifications

• 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

• Experience with workflow automation.

• Experience with release management lifecycles and project milestones.

• Experience managing execution and high quality product delivery.

• Experience in commerce or payments. Experience with mobile software development.

• Understanding of software development lifecycle.
