We are seeking a motivated iOS Software Engineer to join our Fitbit Activity Coaching team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and enhancing features within the Fitbit iOS application that provide personalized coaching and insights to help users lead healthier lives. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineering teams to build high-quality, user-centric mobile experiences on the iOS platform. You will have a background in iOS development (Swift/Objective-C), a passion for mobile technology, and a desire to contribute to features that have a direct impact on user well-being. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining features for the Fitbit iOS application.

Responsibilities

Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.

Triage product or system issues and debug, track, and resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.

Design, develop, and test new user-facing features for activity tracking, goal setting, and personalized coaching within the Fitbit i Phone Operating System (iOS) application.

Debug and resolve issues, optimizing application performance, and ensuring a high-quality user experience on the i Phone Operating System (iOS) platform.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested Swift and Objective-C code, following i Phone Operating System (iOS) best practices and Fitbit's coding standards.
Minimum qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).

1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
Preferred qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e,g., Swift).

Experience in developing iOS applications.
