The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop and support front-end CAD tools and flows for Google Silicon SoC projects (e.g., RTL generation, design verification, AI-enabled CAD, design QA, timing, and low power).

  • Collaborate with design teams to understand requirements and enable scalable solutions.

  • Work across functional domains to enable the development and validation of complex CAD flows.

  • Drive EDA vendors to improve tool quality and deliver custom solutions for Google.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of industry experience in VLSI design or CAD flow development.

  • Experience with front-end design tools (e.g., Lint, CDC/RDC, or simulation).

  • Experience writing production scripts in Python or Tcl.

Preferred qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or a related field.

  • 10 years of experience in software development or front-end CAD.

  • Experience with ML algorithms and AI application development.

  • Experience with the full software development life cycle.

  • Experience in advanced technology nodes.
