The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities
-
Develop and support front-end CAD tools and flows for Google Silicon SoC projects (e.g., RTL generation, design verification, AI-enabled CAD, design QA, timing, and low power).

Collaborate with design teams to understand requirements and enable scalable solutions.

Work across functional domains to enable the development and validation of complex CAD flows.

Drive EDA vendors to improve tool quality and deliver custom solutions for Google.
Minimum qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

5 years of industry experience in VLSI design or CAD flow development.
-
Experience with front-end design tools (e.g., Lint, CDC/RDC, or simulation).

Experience writing production scripts in Python or Tcl.
Preferred qualifications
-
Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or a related field.

10 years of experience in software development or front-end CAD.
-
Experience with ML algorithms and AI application development.
-
Experience with the full software development life cycle.
-
Experience in advanced technology nodes.
