The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities
-
Create workflow, network monitoring or troubleshooting automation to improve the network.
-
Debug complex issues and root cause incidents impacting the network and customers.
-
Develop and help debug and mitigate risk profiles for network health and lead improvements in documentation, playbooks, and training for support organizations.

Work with network design, deployment, and engineering teams to operationalize stable, scalable platforms.

Create prototypes for problem solutions and extend software tools where required to minimize downtime of Google's networks.
Minimum qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
-
10 years of experience with network routing protocols, design, and troubleshooting, working with network equipment providers.
-
6 years of experience in Internet Protocol (IP) network Infrastructures and protocols.
-
Experience in coding using Python in a networking environment.
Preferred qualifications
- Certifications in Cisco Certified Internet work Expert/Cisco Certified Design Expert/Juniper Networks Certified Internet Expert (CCIE/CCDE/JNCIE) or equivalent experience.
