Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the consumer electronics, auto, OEMs, telecom, e-commerce/retail, apps, ads, gaming, or technology industries.

  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.

  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently to engage with local clients and stakeholders in the region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing partners in Japan, including C-level stakeholders.
  • Experience incepting, rallying, and executing new ideas and impact
    on their own amidst complex and dynamic environments involving numerous teams, regions, and engaging priorities.
  • Expertise in AI, with the ability to articulate AI technology’s application, potential, and limitations to industries and society in the present and future.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese and English fluently to build relationships with multiple teams and executive-level leaders internally and externally.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

As a Cross Google Partner Manager, you will focus on Japan partners related to different industries, creating value for Google and to partners by identifying and unlocking opportunities across multiple teams and functions. You will be creative, collaborative, constantly connecting the dots, future-aware, and comfortable in influencing without authority. You will be utilizing the ever-growing suite of AI capabilities and tools to help partners achieve their goals long-term while also lifting Japan society.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and apply deep insights across partners, Alphabet's services, relevant industries, and emerging AI technology to strategically spot the plays that create mutual value for Google and Alphabet teams and for partners.
  • Strengthen partner relationships and drive cross-Google alignment by executing cross-Google Joint Business Plans (JBP), executive engagement coordination and briefings, and AI-focused innovation summits.
  • Collaborate across Google to identify, drive, and inform the closing of partnership agreements, often across multiple product units, facilitating alignment and communication between multiple teams.
  • Execute a partner-centric Google strategy to foster partnerships in the Japan market, to amplify the impact of Google’s C-suite engagement, and enable the pursuit of improved and more innovative business opportunities.
