You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, leveraging user insights to create industry-leading products.

As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.

Google Photos is a photo sharing and storage service developed by Google. Photos is one of the most sought after products at Google and is looking for both client-side (web and mobile), with server-side (search, storage, serving) and machine intelligence (learning, computer vision) Software Engineers. We are dedicated to making Google experiences centered around the user.

Responsibilities

• Drive UX design for key sharing flows and establish partnerships with third-party apps.

• Translate user needs into compelling designs through user journeys, storyboards, low/high-fidelity mockups, detailed interaction specifications, and interactive prototypes.

• Collaborate with Google Photos and other Google Product teams across time zones to develop solutions.

• Simplify concepts into relatable narratives that represent real user experiences.

• Integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product experience updates.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 6 years of experience in product design or User Experience (UX).

• 4 years of experience interacting with clients/leadership and owning projects.

• Experience in designing across multiple platforms, and working with technical/design teams to create user flows, wireframes, and building user interface mockups and prototypes.

• Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

Preferred qualifications

• Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 4 years of experience in designing for consumer-facing products.

• Experience with motion design and quick prototyping (e.g., principle, framer etc.).

• Knowledge of technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for platforms such as desktop and mobile (e.g., Android and web).

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence product design strategy.

• Excellent problem-solving and visual design skills.
