Senior Staff Software Engineer, Google Slides

Drive the technical goal, strategy, and architecture for Google Slides including platform investments, performance metrics, and technical debt management.

Lead technical development and delivery of AI-powered features, ensuring Large Language Model (LLM) modeling, quality, and seamless integration across Gemini-powered slide creation, editing, multi-turn interactions, and agentic flows.

Establish and lead collaborations with key internal partners including Google Deep Mind (GDM) and the central AI Platform teams.

Lead and mentor engineering team while directing project execution to stakeholders, serving as the primary technical point of contact and setting standards for engineering quality, testing, and monitoring.

Define the product direction by partnering with product and UX leads to define the roadmap for Google Slides.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

8 years of experience in software development.

7 years of experience with full-stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.

5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.
