The Google Cloud Consulting Professional Services team guides customers through the moments that matter most in their cloud journey to help businesses thrive. As part of an innovative team in this rapidly growing business, you will help shape the future of businesses of all sizes and use technology to connect with customers, employees, and partners.
As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will provide excellent technical guidance and best practices to customers adopting Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. You will ensure optimal customer experience in migrating, building and modernizing applications on GCP while collaborating with product management and engineering to drive product excellence.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $153,000-$222,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities
- Provide domain expertise on public cloud and enterprise technology.
Minimum qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
-
6 years of experience architecting, developing, or maintaining secure cloud solutions.
-
Experience in automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, and continuous integration/delivery.
-
Experience coding in one or more general purpose languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C or C++) including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
-
Experience with standard IT security practices such as identity and access management, data protection, encryption, certificate and key management.
-
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time as needed.
Preferred qualifications
-
Experience in delivering solutions that meet public sector security and compliance requirements such as FedRAMP, DoD Impact Levels, or Risk Management Framework.

Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions and supporting customer projects to completion.

Experience with data center operations and infrastructure migration with VMware or similar systems.
-
Experience in managing external partners/customers.
-
Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
