About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The State Local and Education East team is a high-performing, integrated team within GPS Services, focused on delivering comprehensive, security-centric solutions to our SLED public sector customers in the East. You will take on a pivotal role in transforming how our critical public sector customers leverage Google Cloud solutions.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will be at the forefront of orchestrating and optimizing a portfolio of large-scale, multi-year technical transformation engagements that drive significant value and improve constituent experience. You will provide thought leadership, technical goal, and delivery management expertise, collaborating extensively with cross-functional Google executives, sales teams, and key technical leaders including Architects, Engineers, and stakeholders like Chief Technical Officers (CTOs) and Chief Information Officers (CIOs). You will be a leader who operates with a high degree of autonomy and trust, taking ownership and driving outcomes through clear strategic intent.
Google Public Sector brings the magic of Google to the mission of government and education with solutions purpose-built for enterprises. We focus on helping United States public sector institutions accelerate their digital transformations, and we continue to make significant investments and grow our team to meet the complex needs of local, state and federal government and educational institutions.
