Applied AI builds conversational agents deployed at a large-scale that achieve very meaningful results in the real world. Some examples include the customer agent built for large call center environments, to fast food ordering handled by our Food AI agent. The team is transforming how enterprises connect with customers through the power of AI. We also offer unique experiences for team members where you get to work directly with the model builders (Deep Mind /Vertex), learn and work with brilliant AI leaders, and have access to Global 1000 customers via our existing Google Cloud relationships. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Write product or system development code.

• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders through design and code reviews to ensure best practices amongst available technologies (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).

• Execute high-velocity experiments to vet emerging AI capabilities and determine their internal product-market fit.

• Deploy and maintain production-grade AI agents capable of complex reasoning, tool-use, and multi-step task execution.

• Implement solutions in one or more specialized ML areas, utilize ML infrastructure, and contribute to model optimization and data processing.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.

• 1 year of experience with one or more of the following: speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.

• 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).

• Experience with generative AI agents and working with cross-functional teams.

Preferred qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.

• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.

• Experience developing accessible technologies.
