From creating user flows and wireframes to building mockups and prototypes, you will envision and bring product experiences to life with an inspired, refined, and magical feel. You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, leveraging user insights to create industry-leading products.
As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.
The YouTube Music Integrations team is responsible for bringing a seamless, high-quality music experience to users across the ecosystem of hardware and software products. The team designs, builds, and maintains the applications and services that power YouTube Music on various types of partner devices, including wearables, automotive, smart speakers, and more. The team's mission is to ensure users can access their music wherever they expect it to be available, and to build brand awareness and understanding with every integration.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, and provide solutions.

Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, or high fidelity prototypes.

Integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product experience updates.

Advocate for the prioritization of design centered changes, refinements, and improvements.
Minimum qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
-
4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
-
Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).
Preferred qualifications
-
Experience designing for hardware devices (e.g., speakers).
-
Experience with device platforms, guidelines, SDKs, etc.
-
Experience in visual and design systems thinking.
-
Experience designing for web/desktop experiences.
-
Excellent prototyping skills, with the ability to use vibe coding/GenAI tools.
