Senior Software Engineer, Dart on WebAssembly

In this role, you will work with a high-velocity programming language designed for building high-performance, full-stack, multi-platform applications and agentic experiences.
As a part of this role, you will engage with Dart, an industrial-strength multi-platform programming language that enables cornerstone Flutter features such as stateful hot reload; high-quality, ahead-of-time compilation to native and web; and a growing package ecosystem.
In this role, you will work with Dart and Flutter, open-source development developed at Google for building compiled applications across mobile, web and desktops from a single codebase, successful apps from companies such as Tencent, Alibaba, Sonos, and BMW. Internally at Google, Dart and Flutter are powering mission-critical first-party applications like Google Ads, NotebookLM, and Gemini.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the Dart SDK implementation, specifically the Dart compiler toolchain targeting Web Assembly.

Partner with engineers across Europe and North America to execute on Dart's strategy.

Engage customers and stakeholders to gather feedback for the technical implementation.

Drive performance and quality improvements.

Work with teams that match your experience and skill set.
Minimum qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Dart or Flutter with a track record of successfully shipping high-quality products.
- Experience navigating codebases and pursuing ambitious performance goals.
- Experience with programming language implementation/compiler construction.
