Software Engineer, Android XR
-
Adapt, build, and launch first-party apps/experiences for Android phones paired with next-generation wearables.

Ensure XR support Android iOS feels native and idiomatic to the platform, leveraging modern Kotlin development and the best of the Glasses SDK (Software Development Kit).

Work closely with UX and Program Manager (PM) to define, prototype, and test experiences to discover what experiences users value the most and how to improve the experiences to provide more value to users.

Collaborate with other Google teams (Google Translate, etc.) to build features that leverage the best of Google products and services.

Debug and optimize translation quality across the stack from the Audio Record layer up to the Large Language Models (LLMs) translation model.
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
-
2 years of experience programming in the Kotlin programming language.
-
1 year of experience in Android development.
