About the job
People Operations strives to revolutionize human resources the same way that Google has revolutionized search. We are helping to find, grow and keep the remarkable assemblage of talent who are our Googlers. You'll be an advocate of Google's culture and values, partnering with our business leaders to help them build their organizations and make sure all people decisions are based on data. Whether coaching our clients on how to lead their teams, navigating and resolving employee relations issues or managing programs that help develop our Googlers, you are exceptionally focused on putting them first, and being as clear and transparent as possible to help Googlers understand how people decisions get made.
Responsibilities
-
Manage clear communication of people strategies and implement organizational changes to achieve desired business goals. Help craft and deliver regional people priorities for the region.

Translate company-wide objectives and key results (OKRs) into actionable plans tailored to the specific needs of the client organization, providing feedback to identify potential gaps.

Identify talent gaps, organizational shortcomings, and people needs that could hinder business strategy execution. Use this analysis to guide resourcing and development initiatives.

Support the selection and development of talent, and actively drive organizational health improvements through trend monitoring, cultural analysis, and promotion of a respectful work environment.

Work on region specific initiatives in service of growth we will experience.
Minimum qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
-
12 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist supporting executive leaders at global companies.
-
Experience in one or more of the following areas: organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, performance management, business consulting, compensation, coaching, talent management, and employee relations.
-
Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently to manage the client relationships in the area.
Preferred qualifications
-
Master's degree in HR.

Understanding of current and future processes needed to pursue continuous improvement in HR and talent policies and practices.
-
Ability to effectively communicate across audiences, situations, and contexts in both a written and verbal format.
-
Ability to garner consensus from internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, surrounding new ideas and strategies.
