As a Senior Software Engineer on the Defense and Consulting Engineering team, you will define critical solution strategies, high level/low level designs and deliver production quality solutions for Mandiant Threat Defense product area.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with adjacent Google Cloud Security teams to influence solution strategies, align on shared goals and deliver joint solutions.

• Work across all layers of the stack (full stack development) Build scalable, resilient backend services and data stores for accelerated customer facing feature development.

• Influence feature roadmap by spotting an area of improvement, anticipating customer pain points. Scope and complete activities that go beyond coding such as monitoring, release improvements, and documentation.

• Deliver innovative, customer friendly experience that distinguishes Mandiant Threat Defense value. Lead and influence design discussions. Review code, providing high-quality and actionable feedback.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.

• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.

• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.

• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.

• Experience developing accessible technologies.
