With a rapidly growing array of sales teams, it's important to have knowledgeable, charismatic leaders to guide our client sales teams. As a Sales manager, you'll lead and coach high-performing account teams that use consultative sales skills to understand our advertisers' needs and deliver measurable solutions that grow their businesses. You will also work with the sales leadership team to set strategic objectives and run the day-to-day operations for the business. Sales managers willingly help their teams and roll up their sleeves to partner directly with clients to provide comprehensive service. You are an excellent communicator with a proven ability to train and motivate a large team, and you take an analytical approach to sales management.
In this role, you will be an exceptional sales leader who will lead and coach a high-performing team of sellers to help them manage client relationships and lead the business engagement with agencies in the market. You will enable your team to overachieve ambitious revenue and product growth targets and OKRs. You will own the strategy, forecasting, planning and execution of team-wide account growth and also contribute to the overall strategic direction of the Agency team. You and your team will work with a wide variety of top GCS agencies to deliver the optimal advertising solution for every partner and their clients. Your knowledge of how Google’s solutions can solve various clients' business challenges will be key to success. You will also work with the sales leadership team to set strategic objectives and run the day-to-day operations for the business.

Responsibilities

Recruit, retain, motivate and develop a team of client-facing and high-performing Strategic Agency Managers (SAM) to ensure improved same-store growth, high agency satisfaction and enhanced portfolio health.

Deliver against ambitious revenue and product adoption targets, grow engagement and client satisfaction for agencies managed by your team.

Model and coach strategic agency managers and sales behaviors: including C-level engagement, effective questioning, objection handling, and selling.

Lead and strengthen executive-level agency relationships through key C-level meetings, business reviews and speaking engagements.

Define the future of agency management and help to develop the necessary infrastructure and processes. Initiate and run strategic initiatives to further develop new and existing GCS agency businesses.
Minimum qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
-
10 years of industry experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or IT, or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Experience in building relationships with internal/external stakeholders in business delivery/client engagement and partner management.

Ability to communicate in English and Italian fluently to engage with clients in the region.
Preferred qualifications

Knowledge of traditional and online marketing strategy and tactics.

Ability to own sales team operations across markets in Southern Europe: portfolio management, team building, KPI measurement, execution.

Ability to model and coach sales behaviors including C-level engagement, effective questioning, objection handling, and competitive selling.

Excellent problem-solving and investigative skills with the ability to help teams understand performance data, identify opportunities, land and scale success.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills, to lift, support, inspire and grow your team and customers.
