In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.
One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.
In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing the product strategy for creator experiences for YouTube Comments. Comments are at the heart of users sense of community at YouTube: through comments, creators can connect with their audience and learn about what they love. Working with design, User Experience Researcher (UXR), engineering and data science, you will drive the ideation and execution for high-impact features with a special focus on leveraging AI to help creators, from chat experiences to recommended actions.At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we listen, share, and build community through our stories. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

Define the strategy, goals, roadmap, and success metrics for comments features.

Understand user needs, translating insights into compelling product experiences.

Build intuitive experiences to power conversations and drive engagement.

Collaborate with engineering, design, and research teams to bring product goals to life.

Utilize data-driven decision-making to measure performance, identify improvement areas, and iterate on the product experience.
Minimum qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
-
8 years of experience in consumer product management.
-
3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
-
Experience with front end product development working with User Experience (UX) design.

Experience with A/B testing and user research methodologies.
Preferred qualifications
-
Master's degree in a technology or business related field.

Experience using data to inform product decisions.

Experience with community-focused products or creator tools.

Knowledge of YouTube's platform ecosystem, creators, and viewers.

Ability to translate user needs and business objectives into detailed product specifications and roadmaps.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and data science.
