• Act as the primary technical liaison between the GCNV Control Plane and the Data Plane (DP) teams. Align orchestration logic with the high-performance requirements of the underlying Net App ONTAP storage.

• Collaborate with the Net App DP team to influence the DP roadmap, ensuring features are optimized and performant for Google Cloud’s distributed architecture.

• Lead the design of end-to-end workflows that span from user-facing APIs down to low-level volume provisioning and data movement.

• Guide executive and mid-level engineers across both CP and DP teams, fostering a culture of performance-first engineering.

• Identify and resolve systemic bottlenecks across the stack (e.g., API latency, provisioning speed, and I/O throughput) to meet sub-millisecond latency goals.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 8 years of experience in software development.

• Experience designing and implementing distributed computing systems.

• Experience in the Java programming language, and developing software applications using the Go programming language.

• Experience integrating cloud APIs into software applications.

• Experience with cloud storage solutions and technologies.
