About the job
As a Technical Program Manager responsible for developing novel technology processes,.you will join the Cloud Supply Chain Operations team responsible for releasing Google’s hardware to mass production and developing a supply chain to deliver it. Core responsibility begins with the thermal manufacturing process, ensuring the ongoing development and maintenance of critical technology roadmaps, sensing current technology trends, and providing technical expertise and leadership for the delivery of approaches and processes for our product development efforts. You will work cross-functionally to collaborate with technology direction and adoption for our data center products. You will also ensure that our supply chain stack is fully readied to execute novel manufacturing and test approaches in production environments. You will need to have excellent collaboration and communication skills.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Manage and deliver Hardware (HW) programs that are dependent on broad cross-functional stakeholders, with a high degree of independence.

Lead thermal manufacturing projects on New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Technology Introduction processes, ensuring the execution of critical manufacturing, test, and other key technologies in advance of our NPI development roadmaps.

Lead the delivery and maintenance of a portfolio of key technologies to enable advanced product designs, pushing the boundaries of existing technologies and processes with our supply chain partners.

Lead critical test vehicle builds to validate Design of Experiments (DOEs) for novel manufacturing/test process parameter development.

Communicate widely and transparently. Keep stakeholders appraised of progress through periodic updates and checkpoints such as engineering reviews.
Minimum qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
-
5 years of experience in program management.
-
Experience working in product development for thermal hardware.

Experience working in hardware manufacturing.
Preferred qualifications
-
Bachelor's of Science in mechanical engineering, physics, materials science, manufacturing engineering.

5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Experience with Machining, Welding, Brazing (furnace, vacuum), Soldering, Sintering, Stamping, Skiving, Assembly, Die Casting, Injection Molding, Leak Detection, or Test Design.

Experience with and Product Testing, Quality Control, Equipment and Fixture Design.
