The Waze Routing team is the core engine behind the magic of Waze. We are responsible for building and scaling the complex systems that compute the best possible routes for millions of users in real-time. Our work involves addressing fascinating challenges in algorithms and real-time data processing to provide users with not just a path, but the best path.
Waze is where people and technology meet to solve transportation challenges. It's a platform that empowers users to contribute road data and edit Waze maps to improve the way we move about the world. Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve the teams services.

Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.

Be responsible and drive the adoption of new and exciting technologies.

Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.

Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Minimum qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

2 years of experience with software development in Java programming language, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications
-
Experience with large-scale distributed systems and cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform.

2 years of experience with systems software design and development.
