Senior Interaction Designer, Google Cloud Marketplace

As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.
As an Interaction Designer, you will envision how people experience our products and bring that goal to life. You will transform tasks into accessible designs, collaborating with designers, researchers, developers, and product managers throughout the design process.
Our goal for Google Cloud Marketplace is to become the primary distribution channel for Google Cloud, exposing a catalog of solutions for users to easily discover, try, buy, and use. We see the Marketplace as empowering the growth of the entire Google Cloud ecosystem. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-$231,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

Lead design direction and create storyboards, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes to guide development.

Work with and influence researchers, product managers, and developers to create user experiences for enterprise use cases.

Understand Cloud technologies, user motivations, and market opportunities to advocate for design excellence and AI transformation.

Pitch and present concepts and proposals to executive stakeholders, translating complex interactions into simple, elegant, and coherent designs.

Contribute to and influence the design system while identifying high-value opportunities to improve the user experience and team culture.
Minimum qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.

Experience designing technical, enterprise applications.
Preferred qualifications
-
Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.

3 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.

2 years of experience leading design projects.

Experience prototyping with Figma and leading design projects in complex, cross-functional organizations.
