Staff Hardware Systems Design Engineer, Board and Systems
About the job
As a Staff Hardware Engineer, you will work on Machine Learning/AI hardware systems projects to craft the solutions for current and future data center deployments. You will work with Product teams to ensure that goals are met with systems and will work with ASIC/FPGA, Software, and Verification teams to ensure proper verification of features. You will also work with the manufacturing teams to ensure that designs are manufacturable and ready for volume production, and with the field teams to support systems that are deployed in the data center.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$274,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

Gather system requirements, define architecture, execute hardware design, and product validation.

Lead the bring up, validation, New Product Introduction (NPI), deployment, and sustaining of hardware solutions.

Drive system development from concept through production.

Lead debug and root cause analysis of deployed systems.

Work cross-functionally with Hardware, Software, Power, Mechanical, Thermal, Validation, Signal Integrity, Manufacturing, and external vendors.
Minimum qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

6 years of experience working in a hardware systems design, or 5 years of experience with an advanced degree.

3 years of experience in technical leadership.

Experience with power circuit design and signal integrity.
Preferred qualifications

PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

10 years of experience with hardware, design and bring-up.

3 years of experience in technical leadership or management.
-
Experience in PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, USB, SPI, etc.
