Staff UX Engineer, Spatial experiences, Google Hardware

Develop and contribute to Augmented Reality (AR) system architecture, interaction model, and user interface (UI) framework in close collaboration with UX team and cross-functional partners.

Own and deliver prototyping work as part of a prototype-driven design and discovery process.

Partner with cross-functional and cross-product teams, including interaction, visual and industrial designers and user research to define the product goal, contribute to product strategy, and execute on the aligned goal.

Solve highly ambiguous design problems involving both screen-space and spatial design.

Help define interaction design systems and patterns, execute on final designs, and communicate user narratives with reasoning behind design decisions.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.

8 years of experience in a technical, user experience (UX), or design setting, or related experience.

Experience in physical prototyping, interaction design and design process.

Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of designers, researchers, engineers, content strategists and product managers throughout the design process
-
Experience prototyping and developing user experiences across various XR platforms using tools like Unity, OpenXR and WebXR.
-
Experience with design tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud.
