Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

1 year of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.

Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.

Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently to engage with local clients and stakeholders in the region.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in mobile advertising, ad monetization, Mobile app and gaming publishing, mobile app services and ad sales.
- Experience in apps/gaming industry, partnerships, sales, account management, or strategy/business development.
- Experience working autonomously in a dynamic, ever-changing, and collaborative environment.
- Ability to structure, analyze, and solve complex business issues.
- Excellent investigative skills and data-driven thought process with the ability to analyze business metrics and infer their impact on business growth.
- Excellent client facing, stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills.

The Global Partnership Sellside Monetization team's goal is to fund the world's information by enabling digital platforms, properties and content creators through our ad serving and ad monetization products, Ad Manager, Ad Mob and Ad Sense.

As a Strategic Partnerships Development Manager for Sellside Monetization (Japan Apps) team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of publisher's business in the digital ecosystem. You will directly support Japan's key app developers through an exciting period of market evolution. Your goal is to help these partners grow and maximize their business using Google's Sellside advertising platforms (primarily Ad Mob).
You will leverage your comprehensive knowledge of the app ecosystem to deliver partner consulting. By working closely with developers to explore their core business needs, you will strategically align their goals with Google’s product offerings to unlock new avenues for growth.
The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of strategic Apps partners, optimizing their business generation strategies.
- Cultivate trust-based relationships to identify business challenges and deliver creative solutions with global cross-functional teams.
- Lead new engagements to evolve partner business models, driving strategic growth and business turnaround, and oversee partner compliance with Trust and Safety policies and manage access to new product betas.
- Partner with cross-functional teams within Japan, as well as APAC and Global colleagues, to refine the long-term strategy for the Japanese market.
- Collaborate with other Japan Sellside teams and Strategic Partner Managers (SPMs) to co-host industry events and workshops tailored for publishers and app developers in Japan.
