As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Global Capacity Delivery (GCD) organization delivers the compute capability that powers Google and the Google Cloud Platform. GCD plans, introduces new products, sources, builds, delivers, and returns.

The Global Manufacturing Operations (GMO) organization scales manufacturing operations and services with predictability, quality, and agility. The GMO organization consists of functions including partner management, contract manufacturer operations, manufacturing engineering, product engineering, materials management, procurement operations, spares and decom operations, and build planning and execution.

Responsibilities

• Enable and optimize product on-time delivery by actively managing material, capacity, and product-specific levers.

• Manage the program for the sourcing of networking products at global agreement manufacturers.

• Drive mitigation efforts to minimize liability of excess and obsolete inventory caused by demand reductions, platform transitions, and product moves.

• Scale product capacity, materials, and processes and drive improvement of product cost baselines.

• Collaborate with the manufacturing operations and planning teams to identify and drive opportunities to improve product on-time delivery.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 2 years of experience in program or project management.

• Experience with supply chain, manufacturing, and materials management and planning.

Preferred qualifications

• 10 years of experience in supply chain operations.

• Experience in driving process improvement projects from idea to implementation and adoption.

• Experience in hardware product supply chain delivery through the entire lifecycle.

• Ability to work across multiple levels including executive leadership.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and people management skills.
