Design, prototype, implement and test APIs and large-scale distributed backend systems to deploy, protect, configure, and schedule Node Software across Google’s production fleet.

Work closely with SRE to proactively ensure quality and performance.

Gather requirements from component maintainers, service owners, release coordinators, and other stakeholders, and create innovative tools and solutions to make their jobs easier and move key metrics.

Key player in the deployment of the latest custom-built Google hardware, and in all phases of the machine fleet lifecycle, from turning up to repairs to decommission.

Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

2 years of experience with C++ or Go.

2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
