You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, leveraging user insights to create industry-leading products.

As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.

In this role, you will focus on consumer facing UX programs across YouTube TV and YouTube on TV, Mobile, and Web. You will work alongside a cross-functional team of product managers, engineers, marketing managers, and strategists.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Design user journeys and features for YouTube TV across mobile, web, and living room surfaces, focusing on acquisition.

  • Produce high-fidelity mockups, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to communicate design specs and premium user experiences.

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineering, and marketing to align design solutions with business goals and technical feasibility.

  • Partner with UX research to develop hypotheses and participate in user testing to deliver data-informed product outcomes.

  • Maintain and contribute to the YouTube design system, ensuring consistency across the broader ecosystem and various product launches.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.

  • Experience designing, building, or launching consumer-facing products on TV platforms.

  • Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite).

  • Experience contributing to and scaling design systems within a product ecosystem.

  • Experience designing high-impact UX for the subscriber lifecycle, focusing on acquisition and purchasing.

  • Experience working within a cross-functional environment, partnering directly with product management, engineering, marketing, and UX teams.

  • Experience in or interest for the sports, media, entertainment or cable TV industries.

  • A portfolio showcasing a cohesive design language across Mobile, Web, and TV platforms.
