You will play a key role in shaping how Finance partners with key Cloud executives and drives profitability and provide opportunities to lead and contribute to high-visibility projects with direct exposure to VP-level executives.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to enable hundreds of Financial Analysts/Managers and serve as the main subject matter expert on key financial systems and data marts. Your expert opinion will be actively sought after by GTM, Product, and Strategic Finance teams alike and you will play a key role in enabling decision making at executive level through applied data science. You will act as a self-initiator with a passion for identifying automation opportunities, building models, solving problems and charging the most critical and impactful work streams with your coding, statistical and data engineering skills. You will deliver practical solutions of real business benefit and will learn new tools to enable that outcome. You will also have the personal skills, creativity and drive to build your own prototype solutions and to provide training and guidance to team members and partners.

Responsibilities

Own the design, development, and maintenance of critical data assets for Cloud Finance, including data marts, pipelines, and dashboards, while building an insightful, accurate, and production-level financial reporting infrastructure.

Build anomaly detection, drill-down, forecasting, and what-if modeling solutions, applying problem-solving acumen alongside technology to surface analytics and insights at scale.

Identify opportunities to improve financial operations by devising new and automating financial models and processes, statistical or driver-based forecasts and simulations.

Act as a trusted and reliable partner to finance colleagues across Google.
Minimum qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
-
7 years of experience in data modeling, developing data sets, or creating data visualizations.

Experience using BI tools like Looker or Tableau to create visualizations and dashboards.

Experience writing SQL queries.
-
Ability to communicate in English fluently to support global relations.
Preferred qualifications
-
MBA, Master's degree, or advanced degree in a Technical or Scientific field of study.

Experience supporting data-driven sales operations, consulting, or program management and cross-functional BI initiatives in a cloud business.

Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Go, JavaScript, or HTML for data manipulation, analysis, and automation.

Experience in cloud-based data platforms and related BI services.

Experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, or data mining techniques.

Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
