Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.
As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.
Technical Infrastructure (TI) is the backbone of Google the global data centers, network, and integrating hardware and software that power Google’s products. It is a complex, technical, and rapidly evolving space that continues to see significant growth.
As a Financial Analyst, you will be an integral finance partner to the rapidly growing TI teams.
The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities
-
Collaborate and lead headcount projects/programs with TI strategy and operations and TI business partners (e.g., strategy planning, zero based budgeting, resource optimization).

Interface with internal TI Finance and Accounting teams regarding TI headcount.

Help drive TI's Volume based headcount modeling.

Lead the adaptation of AI/ML and reduce operational burden across the team.

Support TI Finance leadership on critical initiatives.
Minimum qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.

4 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications
-
Ability to create effective relationships, influence, and collaborate at all organizational levels and with various cross-functional partners (e.g., Engineering, Finance, Staffing, etc.).

Ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects and work as both an individual contributor and within a large cross-functional team.

Ability to influence through strong relationship management and data knowledge to manage a complex set of issues through executive and staff stakeholders.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of stakeholders.

Excellent problem-solving and strategic skills with the ability to perform initial analysis with limited direction.
